This morning I woke up, and I was petrified. This is a common occurrence as each time that high-pitched alarm goes off and interrupts a beautiful dream, my body jumps and I look around like I have no idea what the fuck is happening. Then I am faced with a choice: More sleep, or begin the day.
I’m here to tell you to choose the latter.
Every time you wake up and wish to go right back to bed, think about this…
Every morning, I will hit stop on my alarm clock, instead of hitting the snooze button.
Every morning, I will put my two feet on the floor, instead of keeping them in my bed.
Every morning, I will exercise, instead of skipping the gym.
Every morning, I will eat a healthy, well-balanced breakfast, instead of skipping it or “grabbing a bar.”
Every morning, I will take a cold shower, instead of standing in the heat and wanting to fall back asleep.
Every morning, I will make my bed, instead of leaving it a mess.
Every morning, I will walk out the door with a smile on my face, having known that my day is off to a great start, instead of feeling rushed and tired.
Treat each morning as a privilege rather than a chore. Once we establish this mindset, success is inevitable.
